Anik Singal lived in India for a time when he was a child. His family left India because of a dangerous social climate and came back to the United States.

 

He became a fantastic tennis player and briefly considered professional tennis as a career, but decided that he’d be better off pursuing an academic degree. Singal was an excellent student who was well on his way to an entirely different career than affiliate marketing consultation.

 

Before Singal became a successful affiliate training consultant, he was in a Pre-Med program training to become a doctor. He was in one of the highest ranked schools in the nation, but decided that the medical field wasn’t for him. So he enrolled in business school.

 

Singal founded The Affiliate Classroom, now called LURN, which is a virtual training center for marketers. He trains affiliates of many experience levels, from newbies to experts. By keeping an eye out for the latest developments in internet business, Singal is able to provide extensive knowledge and keep traffic flowing to his student’s websites.

 

The Affiliate Classroom is run by many of his students. Some of his staff have risen to the level of affiliate trainee after only one year of studies. Singal’s system has been so effective that it molds itself to the skill level of the student, which lets them contribute to the success of any affiliate program.

 

Singal is also the master of affiliate training consultation. He teaches how to avoid being punished by search engines for content violations. Singal shows how thieves will steal your content and corrupt it, and then he demonstrates preventative measures.

 

He also teaches affiliates how to build a large opt-in list for e-newsletters. This is one of the greatest ways to generate web traffic. Singal stresses that opt-in lists are the way to position a business as the leader of a niche. He also knows that the only way to keep profits increasing is to never stop advertising.

 

Singal knows that affiliates need to constantly submit articles to maintain their search engine ranking. In his experience, most marketers that fail to achieve large profits are those that haven’t learned to keep a high profile.

Here is a brief account of Rosalind Gardener’s Internet marketing journey from affiliate marketer, to author, publisher, speaker and Internet business consultant in her own words.

June 1996 Launched first website, a flower seed exchange.
January 1998 While working full-time as an air traffic controller, started promoting online dating service memberships as an affiliate marketer through Sage-Hearts.com (see screenshot below… and no, it didn’t look that good when it was first built. It was actually really, really ugly.)Despite my lack of design skills however, and with no training, by the end of month 10, I was banking $5,000 US per month.
April 2000 By the end of 1999, I was netting $10,000 US per month, so I quit air traffic control to become a full-time Internet marketer in early 2000.
December 2002 Net earnings for the year totaled $436,797!!
April 2003 Online business success story profiled in Internet Marketing Center’s Secrets to Their Success (STTS) which was later re-published in Small Business Opportunities magazine.
June 2003 To get a handle on the information requests generated by the STTS interview and to teach others what I’d learned about affiliate marketing, I published “The Super Affiliate Handbook: How I Made $436,797 in One Year Selling Other People’s Stuff Online“.
March 2004 Overcame a huge fear of public speaking to speak at JV Summit. See below for a list of other conferences at which I’ve spoken.
April 2004 Launched NetProfitsToday.com, a companion site and newsletter to the Super Affiliate Handbook, to keep SAH readers informed of industry changes.
July 2007 McGraw-Hill published ‘Make a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Stuff Online‘, a book they requested I write on the subject of affiliate marketing.
January 2009 FeedFrontProfiled in FeedFront Magazine’s “Women of Affiliate Marketing” issue. FeedFront is the official magazine of the Affiliate Summit conference for affiliate marketers.According the ‘Length of time in affiliate marketing’ section, I apparently AM the oldest female affiliate marketer on the planet.

What is Niche Marketing?

The word ‘niche’ is defined as: “A special area of demand for a product or service”. ‘Marketing’ is defined as: “The opportunity to buy or sell”.

If you put the two words together, niche marketing means buying or selling a product or service in a special area of demand.

All that really means is that a product or service is being sold to the people who are most interested in that particular product or service and not to the world in general.

Oftentimes big businesses use niche marketing. For example, a company that makes computers and computer accessories might advertise all-in-one copy/printer/scanners to the home computer user while at the same time advertising single function machines to large businesses.

One of the things that make niche marketing so attractive to sellers is that their advertising budgets go further. It costs less to advertise to a specialized market than it does to advertise to a broader market.

Niche marketing must be designed to meet the unique needs of the targeted audience. Niche marketers must tailor their product to meet those unique needs.

If, for example, you have designed a product to make poodle grooming easy enough for the untrained professional to do it, those who own poodles will be most interested in your product. Those who own Blood Hounds or cats couldn’t care less.

If you have written an e-book that will explain how to start and succeed at an online business, those who are looking for that information are your niche market. Those who are happy doing what they are doing are not interested at all.

Niche marketing is a very effective and cost efficient way to advertise and sell specific products or services to a specific audience or, hopefully, buyers of that product or service.
